This guide walks you through resetting your LSCO Microsoft password (Office 365, Outlook, Teams, Blackboard, and other LSCO services) using Microsoft’s Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR).
Note: This password reset is for your LSCO Microsoft account. If you have not set up SSPR before, you must register first.
Before you start
- Know your LSCO email address
- Have access to your recovery phone or email
- If not registered, complete SSPR setup first: https://aka.ms/ssprsetup
Reset Your Password
Step 1 - Go to the Password Reset page
Open a web browser and go to: https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/passwordreset#!/

Step 2 - Enter your LSCO email address
On the password reset screen:
- Students: username@my.lsco.edu
- Employees: username@lsco.edu
Enter the characters shown on the screen and click Next.

Step 3 - Verify your identity
Choose one of the recovery methods you previously set up (such as phone, email, or Microsoft Authenticator). Follow the on-screen instructions to verify.
If you have not registered for SSPR yet, register first.

Step 4 - Create a new password
- Minimum of 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter, lowercase letter, and number
- Do not use your name or email address
- Use a password you have not used before
Re-enter your new password to confirm, then click Next.
Step 5 - Confirmation
You will see a message confirming your password has been reset. You can now sign in using your new password.
✅ Your password has been successfully reset!
Troubleshooting Tips
- Check your spam or junk folder if you don’t receive a verification message
- Make sure your recovery phone number or email is up to date
- If verification fails, contact the IT Help Desk
