Clearing Cache and Cookies: Edge Browser on Windows 10

Summary

Instructions for clearing browser cache using Edge on Windows 10.

This document explains how to clear the cache and cookies in recent versions of Edge.

If you follow these instructions, the following will occur:

  • You will be signed out of websites you visit using Edge, including Banner 9.
  • Some websites may load slowly because your computer needs to download images and other stored content again.

Step 1

Open Edge and click on the Settings icon on the top right corner of the browser window. This icon is three horizontal dots as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2

Click Settings.

Step 3

Click on Privacy, search, and services on the left navigation menu under Settings.

Step 4

Scroll down to Clear browsing data.

Click on Choose what to clear.

Step 5

Check the following boxes:

  • Cookies and saved website data
  • Cached data and files

If the box next to Browsing history is checked, uncheck it.

Click the Clear Now button.
